Privacy policy
This describes the current development build. The operator’s legal name, privacy contact, hosting providers, overseas handling and retention schedule must be confirmed before public launch. A privacy request channel is not available in this build.
Information in gameedge
gameedge uses collected public sporting records to show participant names, recorded club or team representation, competitions, dates, playing positions, lineups and results. Records may also include public club logos and source identifiers. A recorded appearance does not establish current club membership.
The app also stores your selected club, viewing preferences, saved players and draft teams in this browser. Saved public results snapshots help you return to previously viewed information. This build has no account registration.
How information is used
Public sporting records support player browsing, comparisons, playing history, teammate connections and team drafting. Selection remains a human decision. Results describe shared rink outcomes; they do not measure individual delivery accuracy or establish a person’s availability.
The current browsing client reads stored snapshots. Opening a player or changing a filter does not request a fresh collection from the sporting source. Scheduled collection operates separately.
Storage on your device
Preferences and drafts use browser storage, including local storage and IndexedDB. Draft teams and saved-player selections are not uploaded by this build. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see them.
You can remove locally stored information through your browser’s site-data controls. This also removes saved preferences and snapshots for this site; it does not remove the source sporting record or the server’s collected copy. Downloaded exports remain wherever you save or share them.
Hosting, logs and disclosure
Requests to the saved-data service contain the club and history scope being requested. Hosting infrastructure may record technical details such as IP addresses, request times, URLs and browser information for operation and security. Provider access, log retention, storage locations and any overseas handling need to be documented for the final hosting setup.
Public result information is visible in the app and can be exported. Following an official results link takes you to another service with its own privacy practices. No analytics SDKs, advertising trackers or payment services are included in the current application. These disclosures must be reviewed before any such service is introduced.
Retention and security
Local data remains until it is cleared, replaced or removed by your browser. Server snapshot, source archive, backup and log retention periods have not yet been finalised. A final schedule, deletion process and security arrangements must be documented before public launch.
Access, corrections and complaints
The operator’s privacy contact and process for access, correction, removal requests and complaints are still to be supplied. This draft is not a working request channel. Once published, a request should identify the relevant participant, club and match or source record so the entry can be checked.
For an error in the original competition result, contact the organising club or competition through its official channels. Correcting a source record may require a later snapshot update before the change appears here. Information about privacy rights and complaints is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
